Our Story and Journey
The Realization
We couldn’t accept it was simply bad luck that made our loved ones sick without asking questions. Hours turned into weeks, then months of digging deeper—listening to podcasts, reading articles, studying medical papers. What we uncovered was overwhelming: so many of the things we encounter every day can quietly harm our health. That was our wake-up call. Change wasn’t just an option—it became a necessity.
The Searching...
After getting rid of harmful chemicals in our food and cleaning products, we turned to our closet—and were stunned. So many of our clothes were made with materials like polyester, spandex, and nylon: plastics, plain and simple. Why do we put so much effort into avoiding plastic elsewhere, yet wear it every day? And that cozy fleece sweatshirt? It’s made from shredded plastics. The more we learned, the more unsettling it became. We knew there had to be a better way.
Our Action
At Haayek, we set out to create what we wanted for ourselves—clothing we could feel good about in every way. Thoughtfully designed, free of unnecessary additives, and made to last. What started as a personal pursuit has become something we’re proud to share with you. These are the pieces we love wearing, and we hope you’ll love them too.
